Hw#1-Banach

Banach- "we are Absolute individuals".
I do agree with this quote because everyone as their own mind and way of thinking, this goes into people go what they feel or what makes them think that way,I think when people don't tend to go with what they feel, they either feel guilty or disappointed in themselves. I know this because when I feel unsure of an answer and I tend to go to someone for help, and if I do go for what the other person told me at times I wish I should have chosen my own answer. Banach Said " we feel our pains, our own pleasures, our hopes and our fears immediately, subjectively, from the inside". From What I understand from this Quote is that we have our own emotions and ideas. because of that Ithink when individuals don't go for what they want at times it backfires on us.
...........
I think Banach is right and wrong about we are completely are alone in this world and it been like that for many years. But humans tend to do think of each other and our economy has grown a lot because we tend to help people and make things happen in our world , so its like we do think of ourself but then again we don't. Yes I do believe that we are invdividnals and that a mind belongs to one person and one person only. but then what makes our minds make us do certain things? so what controls us more our minds or our feelings?.At the the end of day people just do think of themselves and if some indiviuals dont.. then why do people say " You need to stop and just think of yourself"?. its like we were made just to think of ourselfs in any situation.

  1. Great stuff. i like the way you started off by quoting Banach and how you interpreted his words into your own. Although i must admit grammer became a very small issue in your post, but in the end was still an issue. I understand where you stand on Banach's words, but im still not so clear as to what Banach was truly saying, not in your own words, but if someone else were to interpret his words how would they go about? I noticed a connection between the class's discussion as a whole, to your words where you mentioned in your post how u both agree and disagree with Banach's words. I guess if you were interested in expanding your post, or an idea for future posts, you could write about both sides you agree/disagree over with Banach, and maybe you could find a connection between the two and his words. Good stuff

  2. Leticia,

I appreciated your truth how you connected what Banach said to yourself personally and how you talk about your own struggle with unanswered questions. Your tone seems to be confusion, respect, this is a difficult subject to elaborate on, and it is good that you are able to express your ideas.

I understand when you think that Banach is right and wrong, we are alone and no one knows what is going on through the screen that is your life, yet it does seem possible for people to see what others see.
A few people that I have read their blog just as reference I know feel the same way as you. Where you know but you don’t know. EXPLANATION- You and others I have read have the basic idea of how no one sees the exact screen that you see from, yet we as a class have barely scratched the surface, for the first homework this is pretty impressive.
Some parts where I thought that you could have added on the part where you first start to say. I know that you know what you are trying to say, and I know when writing this so many thoughts flow through your mind you want to write everything you think down, maybe try e-mailing what you wrote to a friend so they can read it over, just for clarity.
I for the post I wrote I said that Banach was right, but have made me think and maybe he’s wrong, you may say that he is both although I am on the hunt for a definite answer.
